"Tomorrow", I'd say to myself. Always tomorrow. "Things are just too complicated now to think about change". Counting calories? Cardio or weights? How much protein is in an egg? I did not want to deal with any of it, especially after a bad day at work.


I have lost 185 lbs in one year! And this happened without surgery, pills, starvation /fad diets, or things that can be found late night on infomercials. The program that I received at FRESH was for ME. I wasn't encouraged to do bootcamp 5 times per week. I was not put on a radical diet that shocked my body into ketosis. I did things in a realistic and gradual way. I changed my lifestyle. More importantly, I learned how not to slip back into a shame-induced eating and inactivity spiral if I had a bad day or two. I learned to consciously make better food and exercise choices. These small changes accumulated over a period of time. I learned to control my life.


I have met a ton of awesome people, traveled to places I've always wanted to see, all because I have a newfound confidence and ability to realize my goals. The staff at FRESH Personal Training has given me my life back. I'm not sure how many years of health and happiness I may have added to my life, but at least now I can be here long enough to find out.

"Over the past couple years I have had a couple of personal trainers from the local gyms in the area. At the time, I thought they were accommodating my needs, but I thought wrong. I needed trainers who were fully focused and motivated to help me reach my goals and not to be all talk, but I just couldn’t seem to find what I was looking for. I was about to stop looking until one day, I had noticed the gym FRESH and decided to stop in to check it out. I was really looking for someone who could train me above my limits and someone whom I could easily get along with, a trainer who could teach me more about the body and help keep me motivated along my journey. As I walked in, I had met Rob and Eugene; both greeted me with a happy welcome. I felt comfortable from the start. Rob and I discussed what I was looking to get out of personal training; he had then set me up with my first assessment. My first assessment was amazing; I hadn’t worked out so hard in my life and didn’t even realize what my body was capable of doing. At that point, I was hooked. Rob is a wonderful person and will accommodate any needs or precautions for you and your body. He also has a great personality and is very easy to talk to and doesn’t make you feel like you can’t do anything and will not allow you to get unmotivated. Everything that Rob does is first class; none of my other trainers had me doing any workouts like I do with Rob. After each workout, I feel incredibly “refreshed”. What can be better than that? I performed a couple more sessions with Rob before I started to train with Eugene. Eugene is a strength and conditioning coach for the New York Mets. I have been training with Eugene temporary, and he is full of information and another great person I can easily get along with. Eugene also has a background in MMA and was training for the Olympic trials for Beijing 2008. He introduced me to boxing and incorporated boxing into my sessions, along with many other challenges. I had never done boxing in my life and it’s a new love and a lot of fun to switch up workouts. Each time I come in for my appointment with Eugene, I’m not only getting a session, I am also learning something else about the body that I had never known before. Every session is different so I don’t get bored; I’m constantly saying, “what next.” Like I said, I am completely hooked. I train with the boys three times a week and I still feel like it’s not enough due to the feeling of accomplishment after I leave and knowing that I am going to reach my personal goals that I have discussed with Rob and Eugene. It’s a wonderful feeling! I highly recommend anybody who is looking for a personal trainer to come workout with Rob and Eugene. You’re only going to get the best and keep motivated to reach your personal goals. You aren’t going to find that in a regular gym around here. From my experience, I learned the hard way. I wish I had stopped in sooner!"
